Yes folks, you read it right. Can you believe it? I still have to pinch myself sometimes!
Cornish Heritage Farms is thrilled to announce The General Motors Stamp Collection. There is going to be a wide variety of images in this line, but we just couldn't help but start with some fabulous vintage cars and trucks. (Ok, *I* couldn't resist!) :-)
There are many Trademark names under the GM umbrella including Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
GM has opened an online Heritage Center that allows you to explore their history and reminisce about the cars and trucks of your childhood or even your parent's childhood! Did you know that GM was founded 99 years 298 days 23 hours ago. They have a countdown clock currently ticking toward their 100th year.
Here are the first four images in the collection which will release on Tuesday, July 22nd:
1957 Bel-Air
--------------------------------------------
1957 Family Bel-Air
-------------------------------------------
1957 GMC Truck
------------------------------------------
1956 Chevrolet 3100-T
I am so proud of the detail and shading we were able to achieve with these images. They are gorgeous simply stamped, but have so much potential for detailing and coloring.
As you might imagine, the possibilities with almost 100 years of images to choose from make this Art Director so *very* happy.
Okay, now I am getting nostalgic! Guess what I drove when I was 16?
This my friends in a 1989 T-Roof Pontiac Firebird. I have no idea who's car this is! It's the only one I could find that looked my mine, except mine was red. I had waaaaay to much fun driving that car.
Dawn Lusk has been playing with the images already, here's a taste with her flair for creating scenes!
So tell me, tell me, what do YOU think? What was your family car as a child? Was there a car you always wanted? Tell me, tell me people...what stamps shall we make?

Wow, this brings back memories! My dad actually had a 1959 Edsel -- and it was salmon colored!

Our first car when we were married was a 1978 El Camino - of course no room for kids, so it had to go...*sniff* When I was a kid (long ago) we had VW's - one day my dad went to trade in the VW for a new car - mom was SUPER excited we were going to get a "real" car, with room for the 3 kids. Well, he came home with a brand new 1962 VW - mom wasn't happy!! but she forgave him.......good times...
