I thought I would get you up and rockin' this morning with The King. :-)
It's always so hard to get a good picture of clear cards! But no matter, how seriously fun is this electric blue Elvis? I applied Western Blue Ultrafine glitter to Jumpsuit Elvisusing the Tsukineko Glue pad. The "Elvis Is" background stamp was inked with Baby Blue Opaque StazOn ink pad and stamped on a Clear Card Sheet by Cornish Heritage Farms.
Elvis is profiled completely different here is this collage tag.
Stamps used (all by CHF) include Profile Elvis,Elvis IsBackground Stamp, Beautiful (Rummage Bin) and Elvissentiment. All ink used is Distress in Weathered Wood, Vintage Photo, Antique Linen and Black Soot.
This car was stamped on vellum and colored on the reverse side with Copic Markers, Ranger White Gel Pen and Sakura Silver Stardust pen. Sentiment from the Birthday Centersstamp set. Ribbon by May Arts, brads by Queen & Co.
Well, that's my story for the day. Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadian stampers!
"Honey, I have to stamp today...it's World Cardmaking Day!!" *wink*
Here's my contribution to the holiday...
I participated in a few challenges on the Cornish Heritage Farmswebsite as well as over as Splitcoaststampers. Lots of people worked really hard to give a place people to play and pariticipate in this fabulous craft of stamping. I am proud to say that CHF is an Official Sponsor of World Cardmaking day and has some fabulous featured designs at the WCMD site. Click here to check them out!
CHF also held challenges at it's forum today and the CHF Designers filled the galleries with all sorts of Christmas inspiration to get your stamping juices flowing.
This card developed from the Inspiration Challenge at SCS. There were some beautiful hand screened t-shirts that I was inspired by.
Well not the last last chance, but the last chance to get it at a great discount! It will go back to regular pricing October 1st.
This gorgeous leaf and acorns image, plus the sentiment is only $6.99 cling mounted or $10.99 wood mounted. Click here for either option.
Continuing with the pirate fun, here are some more designs from Ahoy Matey and Shiver Me Timbers releasing October 1st:
Stamps: Shiver Me Timbers Stamp set - X Marks the Spot sentiment and treasure map image. Patterned paper by Sandy Lion, ultrafine black Onyx Glitter (Martha Stewart) applied with a Quickie Glue Pen (Sakura) applied to the big "x", vellum card stock (Prism).
More images from Kim's Ahoy Matey set! The three little images in the set were stamped repeatedly and colored to create custom patterned paper - the sentiment and focal skull image is from this set of course as well.
CHF is releasing TWO pirate sets this Wednesday, October 1st. Shiver Me Timbers! (sorry, couldn't resist)
Here is another design with the Kim Hughes set called Ahoy Matey:
Isn't this pirate ship fantastic?! Both the ship and sentiment are from the set, the backgrounder is called Cheesecloth and was heat embossed using a tan colored embossing powder. Patterned paper under the ship is Creative Imaginations. Ribbon is May Arts, Twinkle Stickers by A Muse, Black Cardstock by Prism.
The second pirate set called Shiver Me Timbers, features 11 fantastic images including the treasure map and sentiment on this card. Vellum cardstock by Prism, black glitter by Martha Stewart, patterned paper by Sandy Lion.
I have seen the samples that the CHF Design Team has been cooking up for these two sets and it sure seems like they are having a ball!
So, do you want to hear something funny? I finished up this design and was quite pleased with the result, BUT - stamped hugs? I didn't stamp one thing on this card except the sentiment! *smacks herself on the forehead* Arrrrg! One of those ironic moments in life I guess. :) Paper is Mocha Chica and the sentiment is from Get Well Centers.
I had some fun with The Diesel today. He got to play with his full sister Abby on the far left and a handsome little man named Sawyer from a yellow litter born just after him. The pups ran and ran. I just love labs, they are so stinkin' HAPPY all the time!
Diesel is 7 months now and just weighed in at 75lbs today. And yes, he is like most labs and wants to sit ON me most of the time. :)
